Trōphikōs, LLC, Atlanta, GA, has introduced ellura, a premium cranberry extract supplement. Designed to promote urinary tract health, each once daily capsule of ellura contains Vaccinium macrocarpon-derived proanthocyanidins (PAC), which have been clinically proven to keep the urinary tract free from harmful bacteria. Ellura is manufactured in France, where it is known as Urell and is supported with a health claim from the French government. The claim states that 36 mg of PAC, as measured by the BL-DMAC method, can reduce the adhesion of bacteria to the urinary tract walls.
